UNIFORM POLICY

They are located at 819 Heretaunga Street West, Hastings. 

Families are able to purchase uniforms online or in-store, and Afterpay is available as a payment option.

A school uniform encourages pride in school and property and assists in the development of team and school spirit. A school uniform also identifies a student as belonging to Twyford School.

GUIDELINES:

1. All children are expected to wear the prescribed uniform: 

           TOP                                      Twyford Red Polo Shirt

                                                         Twyford Red Polar Fleece

                                                         Blue Jacket (Provided by KidsCan)

            BOTTOM                            Navy Skort

                                                         Navy Cargo Shorts

            HAT                                     Twyford School has a policy of No Hat, No Play during Terms 1 and 4.

                                                         All children must wear the school bucket hats during Terms 1 and 4. 

                                                         Failure to do so means withdrawal from the playground and supervision in the shade. 

2. During cold weather children are able to wear warm undergarments along these lines:

           TOP                                      Blue or White merinos or t-shirts under their shirts. Undergarments should not hang.                                                             below the polo shirt.

           BOTTOM                             Black or Navy Blue merinos or tights 

3. Children travelling on school trips must be wearing correct school uniform. 

4. Hair tied back from face. Plain single colour hair tie or headband.

5. Jewellery is not considered to be part of the school uniform. Children who have pierced ears may wear one stud or.       plain sleeper in each ear at school. Facial or visible body or tongue piercings are not permitted. Watches may be           worn.

6. Taonga (Pounamu, Bone carvings) are permitted. 

7. No other jewellery may be worn, however the Principal will consider special requests based on cultural or religious.      grounds.

8. Make-up including nail polish, eye shadow, eye liner and foundation, etc are not permitted.

9. Shoes and socks should not clash with the uniform. Twyford School strongly suggests footwear appropriate for            school activities and this includes sneakers and sandals (summer months).
